This installment of the Patient Experience Toolbox - our 12th - offers a tool for healthcare providers to improve patient engagement by asking the patient what they do/did for a living.  Our ethnographic research has shown that this is an effective way of bridging the communication gap that exists between patients and nurses/doctors.
